Each piece of land is unique. We know there’s no such thing as “one size fits all” service when it comes to designing and creating land that thrives for decades to come.
We believe firmly that remote design yields inferior results. We are deeply rooted in the central Texas bio-region. We’ll take the time to walk your land together, discussing its unique features, as well as having in-depth conversations with you about how your land fits in with your family’s goals and future.
2. Design:
After the consultation, we’ll create a custom design based on your goals for your land.
We’ll identify any problem areas, diagnose the root cause and design solutions that are the best possible fit for your land and family.
Often, those problem areas have hidden opportunities. (For example, areas with weeds are waiting to be filled with thriving plants. Design elements that helps with proofing against floods can often also help to proof against droughts.)
We are obsessed with function stacking so you get the most out of each design element.
Next, we take everything we’ve gathered during the consultation and create a scaled first draft drawing.
We’ll review this draft with you, make any adjustments, and create the final design.
The final design is a beautiful, information rich computer-render design of your land at full maturity.
With the final design, we’ll include a report detailing the features of your property like:
-
-Water
-Topography and run-off calculations
-Soil
-Existing flora and fauna
-Installation elements
-Management best practices
-Links for further self-guided education on relevant topics.
3. Installation:
There is an art and science to bringing our custom designs to life.
We’ll work with you to plan the absolute best way to install your custom design.
We realize that factors like budgets can influence how we plan the installation of the final design.
We’ll make recommendations based on our experience that will help landscape elements feed into each other so that your landscape functions efficiently at every step of the installation process.
4. Maintenance:
The first few years of your land’s permaculture installations do need maintenance.
Those first few years are crucial for a land that thrives for years and decades to come.
We love taking the time to educate our clients on maintenance best practices for all the different types of features we install.
We also know that not everyone has the time or ability to maintain their regenerative systems themselves.
That’s why we offer affordable maintenance services to support your land in the best way possible.
A typical maintenance visit might include:
-Tree pruning
-Chop, and drop of fodder plants
-Weeding and mowing
-Irrigation checks and repair
-Annual re-planting
